WAGGGS is looking for a Member's Support and Fund Development (M/V)
Main Purpose
To participate in the members support and the fund development work of the Europe Office WAGGGS by ensuring that all administrative tasks related to these working areas are delivered effectively, on time and in the correct format.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the logistic administration of Membership Support activities (eg. Regional Events, country visits, etc) in conjunction with the appropriate Development Executive or other relevant staff.
- Manage data and information including the compilation and management of lists and database (e.g. Eurofile, etc).
- Support the preparation, writing and management of grant applications in conjunction with the responsible staff person.
- Support Fund Development activities and initiatives as requested by the responsible staff person. Contact donors and other external funding partners when requested.
Type correspondence, reports, etc, in French and English. - Compile, edit and proof read presentations on matters relevant to Membership Support and Fund Development.
- Process correspondence, date stamp and deal with appropriately, including Fund Development related communication.
- Prepare for meetings, including preparation and circulation of documents.
- Minute and report writing as required.
- Reception: answer telephone queries and take messages as required in French and English.
- File and photocopy as required
- Liaise with service engineers as required ensuring that all secretariat and support equipment is maintained in working order.Other appropriate tasks as required.
Person specification, knowledge and required skills:
Knowledge
- Sound general education, degree in administration related subjects preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Very good working knowledge of English and French (required).
- Other languages are an asset.
- Knowledge of European funding schemes such as the Youth in Action program.
- Appreciation of the cultures of the world and intercultural interaction.
- Interested in developing skills in fund raising and development.
Skills
- Office pack, in particular Word, Excel, Powerpoint, (Project and/or Access an advantage)
- Excellent personal skills and team player.
- Self-starter, able to take initiative.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Able to work under pressure and keep deadlines.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels through correspondence, report writing, public presentations and discussions.
- Personality and skills to promote WAGGGS and to present an accurate and dynamic image of the organization.

- Information and data management
- Presentation and report writing
- Fund raising for NGOs
Terms and Conditions
- Salary: depending on experience
- Contract term: Open/35 hours a week
- Probationary Period: Six months
- Annual Leave: Holidays in accordance with Belgian legislation
Life Assurance: membership of scheme which provides insurance cover in the event of death in service and complimentary health insurance scheme
Lunch tickets: EURO 7 per working day
